Successful Supervision with Community Health Workers Workshop
Successful Supervision with Community Health Workers (CHW) Workshop serves as a standard resource for increasing the capacity of CHW Supervisors to support the effectiveness of the CHWs on their team. The Workshop content focus on key topics areas identified and prioritized by CHW Supervisors and informed by insights from subject matter experts in community health, education, and related fields.
Drawing from the professional literature and the CHW Supervisor experience, the workshop employs a culturally responsive, systems-thinking approach to challenges confronting CHW Supervisors. It aims to build the capacity of Supervisors to provide more responsive and informed supervision for the CHWs on their team. Workshop participants will learn about available resources and apply practical tools designed to improve supervisory practices.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop professional relationships with other Supervisors. The course also offers a forum where participants can problem solve with others who have similar challenges and opportunities.
Content is not customizable, but methods of delivery are customizable based on ACO and CP needs. Currently available in the following formats:
- 2 full day ZOOM format
- 4 ½ day ZOOM format
- 2-hour online asynchronous course
- 2 full day in-person
