New York Resources on Contracting with Community-Based Organizations
New York’s Department of Health created a resource for health systems and community-based organizations (CBOs) on social determinants of health (SDoH) in relation to New York’s value-based payment requirements. The webpage includes resources on contracting between managed care organizations, providers, and CBOs, as well as information about contracting best practices. This is important information as CBOs often experience challenges with contracting and partnership development due to lack of technical capacity, legal departments, funds, etc., and may find these resources beneficial. ACOs should consider exploring and leveraging these resources as they begin to think about partnering with SSOs to deliver Flexible Services.
